Hey, I am going to be at Vividcon next week! ...well, okay, I am at VVC every year, but this year I will be there under my pro name as well as my vidder name, which happens less often.

kouredios and I are doing a presentation + discussion on Using Vids in Class; we'll talk about what we do and why, answer questions, and host conversation. The panel's at 4 on Friday, and we would love to see you there! But we will also understand if you want to go to the Also Premiering show instead. :D

Well, I hope you'll find it interesting, but I don't know that what we're talking about will necessarily lend itself to application in In-depth, so don't get your hopes *too* high, please. (Though your faith in our usefulness is appreciated!)

futuransky about how they talk about vids in their classes. So I have some hope that the academic context will be relevant!

I love panels too! I can watch vidshows later (even if the experience isn't quite the same), but panels can't be replicated. I hope ours was worthwhile for you!

I hadn't connected your pro name and your vidder name before this VVC! I was so confused at breakfast when Brad said "oh, there's Tisha" and I said, "wait, I thought that was [vidder name]." He explained and I sat there with my mind-blown for a good two minutes.

...okay, that is HILARIOUS. I tend to assume that anybody who goes to VVC has made the connection (and clearly Brad assumes this too, ahahaha), which is fine; I don't mind fellow vid fans knowing my pro name! I just don't want students being able to find my fan name via Google, because boundaries.

And I am excited to see what comes of any ideas the panel gave you.

Also, while I'm thinking about it: I would love to put "*** Flawless" in this year's class vidshow, if that's okay with you. :D

I wasn't the only one who didn't know. and I hadn't connected two other people's pro name with their fandom names so my mind was blown 3 times that weekend.

I've used vids in my preschool classroom once before, but I'm considering using them as a "social story" too.

Oh yeah, go for it with ***Flawless! Once my wifi is installed in my new place, I'm going to try getting the vid back up on youtube, lol.

I've already downloaded the vid! But yeah, having a YouTube link for the post-show playlist would be awesome as well; I will keep an eye out for that.

And ahaha, I am sort of pleased that I managed to keep the streams uncrossed for at least a few people! I am... not super stealthy, so I feel a certain sense of accomplishment.
